Picture of Ammie, Come Home Ammie, Come Home, by Michaels, Barbara. Meredith Press: New York, 1968. Edition: First edition stated. Hardcover, 252 pages. Dark blue cloth with gilt lettering on spine.

Condition: Very Good Plus in Very Good jacket. Blue cloth cover is dark and unfaded; there is a tiny bit of bumping to lower spine end, and a tiny bit of wear to corners. Lettering on spine is unaccountably faded, since cover has clearly been protected from sunlight by the jacket. Jacket is lightly soiled on white back with small amounts of wear along the margins and a small amount of chipping on the lower front corner.

Contents: Barbara Michaels is a best selling author now, however this was only her third book and can be quite difficult to acquire in the first edition.

Publisher's Note

For the guests at Ruth Bennet's fashionable Georgetown home, the seance was just a playful diversion . . . until Ruth's niece Sara spoke in a deep guttural voice not her own . . . and the game became frighteningly real.. The New York Times calls Miss Michaels a specialist, saying, "When the seances get going and the ghosts walk (and talk), even the nonbelievers take notice".
