Softcover, oblong, 8 by 5.25 nches, [42] pages. Side stapled dark gray carboard covers with title and decorative elements in blue. Front cover has oval cutout that allows viewing of first photograph in the book. Includes fourty-one black and white photographs and one page of text.

Condition: Good Plus. Cover is scuffed and creased in the center, with chips along the spine and a 1/2 inch tear on the right side in front. Pages have minor foxing and an occasional smudge, but are generally in Very Good condition.

Contents: This book was apparently published more than once over the years. No copyright dates are given, but a rough estimate of publication date can be deduced from internal evidence. In this case, there is one photo with a copyright date of 1925 (others have earlier dates), and the city's population is given as "about 1/2 million." According to U.S. Federal Census records , Milwaukee's population was 539,449 in 1920, and by 1930, it was 725,263. It is therefore likely that this book was published sometime in the five years between the latest attributed photograph and 1930, when new census figures would have been available.

The photographs provide an interesting and informative view of Milwaukee in the first few decades of the 20th century.
