Illustrated with black and white plates containing numerous portraits.

Condition: Good Plus, no jacket. Spine ends and corners bumped; page edges age darkened; worst flaw is numerous whitish spots, mostly on front board, but a few on back and spine. Interior pages are clean and unmarked with a very occasional reading smudge, first few pages have been folded diagonally at some point, and , and the crease is still visible, but the paper fibers are not torn; binding is solid. This would be rated Very Good except for the spots on the front boards. These are cosmetic only, and do not affect the strength of the binding or the general soundness and cleanliness of the book.
