Quarter bound in black cloth over paper-covered boards. Dark blue publisher's stain on top page edges. Title in gilt on spine, in black ink on cover. Heavily illustrated with full page editorial cartoons interspersed with editorial commentary. The first cartoon in the book, following the Foreword, is presented as a tipped in plate.

Condition: Good, no jacket. Corners and board edges worn, with light soiling on cover and some small stains on bottom page edges. End papers and text pages beginning to tan.

Contents: Over 130 full page editorial cartoons by Vaughn Schoemaker, that appeared in the pages of the Chicago Review Press during 1941 and 1942, with editorial commentary from the following members of the Chicago Press staff: Harry M.
